Problem Statement
The annual portfolio reconciliation exercise conducted by the CDSP on MAM-held Data Items is neither frequent enough nor is it expeditious enough, according to the Proposer. MAMs are being asked to reconcile Data Items several months after they were initially provided, which may impact the efficacy of the exercise if these Data Items have changes since they were initially submitted.

Increasing frequency of Annual portfolio reconciliation exercise to support Data Cleanse
Data is not available to support industry data cleanse activity. Data Cleanse sprint 3, run by the REC Manager, requires the cleansing of Gas Metering data. This source data for this is the Annual reconciliation performed by the CDSP.
The impact of data cleanse activity is not able to be accurately evidenced.
Increasing the frequency of the reporting to a minimum of twice per year
Under the REC Schedule 14 Metering Operations paragraph 2.24.
For gas only, the Metering Equipment Manager shall participate in an annual portfolio reconciliation exercise. Gas Metering Equipment Managers shall provide the Annual Reconciliation Data Items (as defined in the Data Specification), for each Supply Meter Point for which a meter is installed, to the CDSP within 15 Working Days following the agreed extract date of 1 April each year.
