Solution development

Problem Statement
Work conducted by RPA has identified a significant number of mismatches between gas Data Items held by key stakeholders. This may result in Consumer detriment, as information relevant to an MPRN may not be held accurately by any given Party. As such, there is a need to review processes pertaining to the communication of gas data by MAMs onward to the CDSP to mitigate the potential for mismatches.

Change details

A process in the code that requires the Supplier/Shipper to validate and enrich the data from the MEM prior to this being updated in CDSP
Incorrect information being updated in CDSP
This will help support inaccurate information being updated in the CDSP.
For example, if the Supplier sends an ONAGE flow which is then rejected by the MEM for various reasons. At this point usually the Supplier has already updated the Shipper and thus CDSP as if the flow has been accepted. This then causes inaccuracies within CDSP and could be mitigated if there was a check in place for the Supplier to confirm if a rejection occurred from the MEM.
