Supplier compensation for Network Party driven MPXN or GSP Group changes
DNOs and GDNs (including iGTs) can request suppliers to move a customer from one MPXN to another. These are generally because the connection has been sold to another company. However, it can also be because of data error on the DNO / GDN side. Suppliers, through no fault of their own, must register the new MPXN and move all customer and metering details over.
This is not a BAU task so generally requires a technical resource as MPXN is a key data item for our records. This takes up time and resources for no benefit to the supplier or customer. If customer has a smart meter installed there can be additional complications, and there is a risk the customer can lose top ups if smart meter is in PPM mode
Similar to the old MAP04 process, DNOs and GDNs should pay a nominal compensation to impacted suppliers. Actual levels can be agreed
This could also include changes to the MPRN iGT range, as can be seen with the sale of Fulcrum to ESP - the table is now massive and very difficult to use. I've chosen REC as it requires a supplier to register the new MPXN in CSS and also because of the impact on MEM information
