Summary
There are duplications between the CSS Message Business Data Validation Rules document (a Category 2 document) and the CSS Error Processing guide (a Category 3 guidance document), which is resulting in confusion and complications within the error handling process. This Change Proposal has been raised to update the Business Data Validation Rules document, to capture the appropriate information that is removed from the CSS Error Processing guide and to ensure alignment with newly created knowledge articles

Update to Error Handling Documents
There are duplications between the CSS Message Business Data Validation Rules document (a Category 2 document) and the CSS Error Processing guide (a Category 3 guidance document), which is resulting in confusion and complications within the error handling process.
Duplication of information within the CSS Message Business Data Validation Rules and CSS Error Processing Guide is causing confusion within the error handling process.
The Business Data Validation Rules document must be updated to capture the appropriate information that is removed from the CSS Error Processing guide and to ensure alignment with newly created knowledge articles. Translation of information from the CSS Error Processing guide into knowledge articles hosted on ServiceNow, will be progressed alongside the Change Proposal.
Issue has been discussed and desired way forward outlined as part of the Code Manager Technical Change Workshop.
