Problem Statement
Where a Network Party attends a site where Energy Theft has taken place, the Metering Asset may have been tampered with, and will therefore be unsafe. The Network Party, in the process of making the Metering Asset safe, will by necessity resolve any tampering. The removal of evidence of tampering is an issue for Energy Suppliers, who need this evidence to make claims under the TDIS.

Theft - DNO/Networks not providing photos
When DNO/Networks are attending property due to theft of energy, this could be out of hours, they are making the property safe and most contact the supplier to inform them of the theft but no photo is taken or not provided to the supplier. When suppliers attend after the visit of DNO/Networks all evidence has been removed therefore no photo can be obtained
This is impacting the theft incentive scheme and evidence to prove that the theft took place at the property. The definition of a confirmed theft is to have photo evidence of the theft that took place without which a supplier is unable to count the theft towards the incentive scheme targets
The solution could be either be that the DNO/Networks have it in their codes to take photos when attending theft of energy cases and to provide this to the supplier or the supplier is allowed to confirm these as a theft and count toward their targets as they have come for a professional/reliable source.
