Annual Maintenance explained
Annual Maintenance is a yearly process that helps ensure organisations continue to meet their obligations under the Retail Energy Code (REC).
As part of Annual Maintenance, organisations are required to review and confirm that key information, processes, and controls remain accurate and up to date. This includes completing annual statements and confirming whether any relevant changes have occurred during the year.
Some information and disclosures may be submitted as and when changes occur, but Annual Maintenance provides a formal yearly checkpoint to confirm that all required information remains current.
This process provides assurance to RECCo and the wider market that REC Parties are continuing to operate in line with REC requirements.
The area of the REC Portal where you are able to download documents uploaded by the Code Manager in a secure manner. This is also the area where you upload the relevant PARC reports and Qualification submissions.
To address elevated or escalating risk scores, the Code Manager has access to a range of Performance Assurance Techniques (PATs). This page displays any PATs that have been applied to your Organisation and the applicable actions/deadlines.

Should you make, or intend to make, significant changes to your systems or processes you are required to disclose this.
A non-director may submit Annual Maintenance forms only if a valid Letter of Delegated Authority has signed and submitted. A new Letter of Delegated Authority needs to be submitted each calendar year.
