Use of REL Data to Support Key Regulations
Schedule 29 – Address Management limits the use of the REL to Switching. Key central processes, such as Ofgem reporting, cross code assurance and SEC Guaranteed Standards now require REL to support them.
REL Address, including the UPRN is a key additional resource that the Authority, other Codes and the Smart Meter Data Services require to more efficiently analysis the data supporting the efficient running of the energy industry.
Update Address Management Schedule clause 1.4 with the following or similar wording:
1.4 a – the REL Address may also be used by REC Services, the Authority, other code assurance providers and the Smart Meter Data Service for non-Switching purposes to support their obligations.
1.4 a – the REL Address may also be used by REC Services, the Authority, other code assurance providers and the Smart Meter Data Service for non-Switching purposes to support their obligations.
This was originally within the scope of I0218 but has been separated to allow for a quicker implementation.
