Who can raise an Issue or Change?
Any REC Party, stakeholder, or the Code Manager can raise a concern about the REC. If you need help, you can contact your Operational Account Manager or the REC Service Desk.
Submit your Issue or Change
Before you begin, choose whether you need to raise a Change Proposal or an Issue. These follow different paths, so picking the right option helps us assess your submission quickly. Please set aside at least 30 minutes to complete this form.
Raise an Issue
Choose this if you know there is a problem or opportunity but don't yet know the solution.
Raise an Issue when you can describe:
- What the problem is, where it occurs, and who it affects
- The impacts or risks, such as operational, consumer, or governance concerns
- The outcome you want, even if the solution is still unclear
An Issue is problem‑led and allows the Code Manager to investigate, explore options, and decide whether a Change Proposal is needed.
Raise a Change Proposal
Choose this if you know what change you want to make and why.
Raise a Change Proposal when:
- You can clearly describe the current problem or opportunity, the intended outcome, and your proposed solution
- You know what needs to change in REC documents, processes, roles, services, or data flows
- You can outline impacts, evidence, or dependencies
A Change Proposal is solution‑led and will go through the full REC change process.
What happens next?
After you submit your concern, the Code Manager will review the information you provide. If more details are needed, you will be contacted directly. You will be kept updated on the progress of your submission and any next steps. To find out more information, see our User guide.
