REC Meter Configuration Tables

What are the REC Meter Configuration Tables

You can find the REC Meter Configuration Tables in the REC Portal, under the Code Products section, under a new page called Meter Configuration Tables. This data was previously published on the BSC website, under the Market Domain Data (MDD). This data set relates solely to Electricity Meters, and can be downloaded in .xls format.

The Meter Configuration Tables contain Standard Settlement Data (SSC) and Time Pattern Regime (TPR) information. This data can be used by REC Parties to support in commercial activities and should be used by Parties for MHHS Migrated MPAN's, particularly those in the Smart MHHS Segment. The data for non-MHHS migrated MPAN's will continue to be held within MDD.

What do you use it for?

The data related to SSC and TPR was previously maintained by Elexon as part of MDD. The MHHS Programme determined that SSC and TPR data is no longer required to support settlement arrangements, and therefore these data sets will not transition into Industry Standing Data (ISD) post MHHS go-live.

It was highlighted, the need for SSC and TPR data to continue to be maintained post MHHS go-live to support retail activities.

What is the Change Process for updating the Meter Configuration Tables

The Change Process for updates to Meter Configuration Tables will be two-phased.

The first phase of change management for this process will run from MHHS Go-Live, until the conclusion of the MHHS Migration and Transition period (currently scheduled for May 2027). The second phase will begin following the conclusion of the MHHS Transition period. During MHHS Transition, the REC Meter Configuration Tables, and the last publication of the BSC MDD files will be aligned and held by both REC and BSC. The first phase is in place to ensure alignment in the data available to Parties.

First Phase: The REC Code Manager will publish v1.0 of the SSC and TPR Meter Configuration Tables, on the REC Portal, but these items will then immediately enter a change freeze period, whereby no changes to the data sets can occur.

Second Phase: Changes to the Meter Configuration Tables will be allowed, and can be progressed in accordance with the Meter Configuration Change Calendar (please see attached guidance document, for further information). Parties can complete a relevant Meter Configuration Tables change request, which will be reviewed and validated by the REC Code Manager, and then taken to the Responsible REC Committee for approval, prior to implementation.

For further information on the Meter Configuration Tables, please see the attached guidance documents.
