Problem Statement
Under the current logical format there are only 36 possible MPRCs available for the Electricity industry, and they have all been allocated. The BSC are therefore currently unable to allocate new MPRCs and propose to update the logical format of the J0001 (DI50001) ‘Market Participant Role Code’. REC owned Market Messages will need to be updated to accommodate the new logical format.
Proposed solution summary
- As a new Market Participant, I want to be able to implement Electricity industry solutions and initiatives utilising industry systems that require me to be assigned a MPRC
- As an existing Market Participant, I want to be able to define my interactions with other Market Participants using unique Market Role code identifiers As the BSC, I want to be able to assign new MPRCs so that we can fulfil requests as part of new market solutions
- As a new or existing Market Participant, I want to be able to continue sending and receiving Market Messages which include the MPRC within the file
